Impressive

I was really quite impressed with this song. I was a bit sketchy on how you were going to make the transition when I first started listening, but you pulled it off quite well.

I can't really think of very much to add about critiquing the song, to be perfectly honest with. I think everything fit together quite well.

Good job.

Thanks =D

I like it

I like how everything just worked together. The only thing I think I would have liked to hear is the xylophone-ish thing you have being played come through a slight bit louder. I think it could work as the strong, boppy melody that overlays the rest of the song.

Whirlguy responds:

Initially the xylophone-ish sound actually did sound louder, I was working on it pretty long though, so I thought it was started to sound quite anoying. This is why I decided it shouldn't draw too much attention. Still you could be right, maybe it should be a bit louder.

Sounds solid

I liked what I heard.

The part you seemed most concerned about, the vocals, didn't fit as well as you were hoping, I think. But, I do think that you could leave them in there if you toyed with them a little. Although I've almost been staunchly against it, auto-tuning the vocals in that section might very well work for that part.

Just one suggestion, I know you would definitely have to hear it to know for sure, but I can almost imagine it that way in my head.

Otherwise, good job on the song!

Aydin-Jewelz123 responds:

Thanks dude, appreciate the feedback! The vocals have already been autotuned a little however a bit more may actually do some good. I think for now I will just leave it as it is until I either find someone who can sing or something to replace that section.

Thanks for the feedback.

Very Megaman-esque

That's intended to be a compliment by the way.

This song reminded me very much of the old school, 8-bit Megaman songs. It took me back and reminded me a bit of some of the levels. I think it's a very good piece that you've put together.

Honestly, I can't think of a while lot to improve on here.

Good job.

Well thank you very much. :) Since all I made was a minute, I had a lot of time to go in and perfect everything. I'm glad you liked it.

Not bad at all...

I think this is a better song that what some of the votes are reflecting. I think the only reason that some of the votes are so low is that its just the same melody over and over again. I personally think it works well and see very little wrong with that.

That being said, it wouldn't hurt to throw in a bit of variation. Have some of the string parts diverge a bit more from the main melody. If done right, it can really bring the piece to a whole new level. An easy way to do it is to just keep the same basic chord structure you're using, and use the individual notes from those in a different way.

As well, when I imagine someone's resolve being stronger, I always picture it being a bit more powerful towards the end, then ending on a softer note like you did.

Again, I think a bit more variation in the lead melody is what everybody voting is looking for. I still think you've put together a very good and solid piece of music here.

CardboardowI responds:

I'm glad you liked it, and thanks for the suggestion.

I originally did have a variation on the melody, but I felt that It got too far away from the themes idea, so i took it out.

About the resolve ending, I pictured in my head that once the string parts come in, someone gets all inspired and convinces the others to not give up. and when the piano comes in solo at the end, they are walking away from where they just were, and it ends with the scene just of the empty field with a sunset, or like the snow falling and it outzooms to the sky, or such things like that.

I agree generally I could end stronger, but I felt like doing it a bit diffrently since i do that so often.

Thanks again for the feedback. I'll let you know the next time I do a similar song and end it in a manner yuo prefer.

Pretty decent

Overall it was a pretty decent peace. I have to agree that the song, even though its intention was such, isn't exactly a relaxing piece.

It's still a very good work for the genre that you've put it in to, but it may throw some people off to read the description you've given it, and hear what you've put together.

I honestly wouldn't change a thing about it, as it could still easily be used for various other things. I just don't see relaxing being once of them.

Radosh responds:

This is a piece of relaxing drum and bass... Normal dnb is full of synth and hard melodies.. This genre is nothing new .. Just look on youtube and write "Liquicity" It is full of songs like this...
Peace and Thx for review
